Newly married Thomas and Nancy Lincoln made their first home on Sinking Spring Farm in Hardin (now Larue) County, Kentucky, in the fall of 1808. Shortly after, Lincoln was born in the one-room cabin. The family lived and farmed at Sinking Spring before moving to land a few miles away at Knob Creek. A symbolic replica of the family’s log cabin is preserved in a memorial building at the site.
