The Lincoln Home is the only one that Lincoln ever owned. He and his family lived here from 1844 until they left for Washington in 1861. The site which looks much as it did in the mid-1800’s includes a visitors center and several restored homes that provide exhibits and photographs which further tell the story of the Lincoln’s in Springfield.
