Charles Scholz is the former mayor of Quincy, Illinois (1993-2005), and currently is a practicing attorney with Scholz and Scholz, LLP in Quincy. He served as an Illinois Assistant Attorney General, directing the Western Illinois Regional Office, and he was the Downstate Political Director for United States Senator Paul Simon. He was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, and he chaired the Quincy Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.

Chuck graduated from Georgetown University and Mercer University School of Law. He holds honorary degrees from Quincy University and Culver-Stockton College, and he has received numerous awards for his dedication to humanitarian and charitable causes.
